Jacob Douthitt 
Jacob was born on July 23rd, 1765 in Hope,Rowan County,North Carolina. Jacob's father was John Douthitt and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Scott. His paternal grandfather was Robert Douthitt. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, William (Billy), James, Thomas, Isaac, Abraham, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rebecca and Mary. He was the second youngest of the eleven children.
They had two daughters named Catherine and Sarah.
