Henry Miller Bealmear 
Henry Miller was born on May 4th, 1841 in Irville,Muskingum County,Ohio. Henry Miller's father was Thomas Bealmear and his mother was Susan Rebecca Shipley. His paternal grandparents were Francis Bealmear and Elizabeth Anderson; his maternal grandparents were Johnsa S. Shipley and Anne Jane Wilson. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William Augustus, Harry, Helen Virginia (Jennie), Susan Ann and Fanny Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named James Barton, child, Eliza Barton and Julia Barton. He died at the age of 79 on August 27th, 1920 in Coal City,Owen County,Indiana.General Notes

Henry was reared in a Catholic School after the death of his mother in 1848. This is also where he received his education as a doctor. He never practiced although he received his certificate to practice. At the age of 41 he was converted by a Methodist Preacher at Coal City, IN.
He enlosted May 2, 1864 at Zanesville, OHio in Co. H. 159the, Ohio Volunteer Infantry and served 100 days. Was honorably discharged by mustering out of Company Aug. 22, 1864, total service 3 months, 21 days. Treated in service at Patterson Park General Hospital, Baltimore, July 7 to Aug 15, 1864. Pensioned account of rheumatism resulting in a disease of the heart. Lived at Arney, near Coal City, Owen Co. IN.
The first of 4 children were born at Irville, Ohio. In 1869 moved to Arney (then known as Middletown), six miles from Coal City. In 1874 moved to Coal City, IN where he died.
Henry was never very well or strong and suffered from asthma. When about middle-aged Caroline lost one eye because of cancer, and always had to wear a frosted lens in one side of her glasses. (This is not what was told to Dorothy Elliott by daughter-in-law of Henry.) Henry was a small, frail man, who wore a beard, mustache and chin whiskers. Caroline was a tall very large woman, who worked very hard and bore a large family.

Henry Miller and Caroline Orilla were married in a religious ceremony on September 12th, 1861 in Newark,Licking County,Ohio.
