Older members of the Bealmear family state that their ancestors came to America from Straussberg, France.
Francis Bealmear owned Ralpho in Prince George's Co, MD before he came into the Great Fork of the Patuxent and purchased a part of Duvall's Range.  He was a cordwainer.  Francis Bealmear's wife was Elizabeth.

Francis Bealmear took the oath of Allegiance being listed in DAR Mag. Vol 51, folio 49

There are many small notations on the Bealmear family in the Great Fork area in the book----noting a grist mill, ghosts in house, slave buriel grounds etc.

I made a trip east in the early 90's to visit the Bealmear area in A. A. Co. MD.  I visited with Anderson cousins who lived close by the place that Francis Bealmear I had a home on.  The home is now gone but the foundation is still there with very old jonquils still growing and blooming.  The railroad is within a few yards of the old home area now.  It is thick woods all around with a driving path still used to get father into the woods.  Near by also is the remains of an old mill owned by one of the Bealmears.   I was shown where the family burying ground probably is but there are no markers.
