William Lane Hargrove 
William Lane was born in 1732 in Surry Co., VA. William Lane's father was Augustine Hunnicutt Hargrove and his mother was Mary Lane. His paternal grandparents were Bray Hargrove and Mary Hodge(s) Hunnicutt. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Hardy, Hartwell, Augustine Hunnicutt, Thomas, Olive, Katherine and Kesiah. He was the third youngest of the eight children.-
