Hartwell Hargrove 
Hartwell was born in 1730 in Surry Co., VA. Hartwell's father was Augustine Hunnicutt Hargrove and his mother was Mary Lane. His paternal grandparents were Bray Hargrove and Mary Hodge(s) Hunnicutt. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Hardy, Augustine Hunnicutt, William Lane, Thomas, Olive, Katherine and Kesiah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
