Kesiah was born in 1742 in Surry Co., VA. Kesiah's father was Augustine Hunnicutt Hargrove and her mother was Mary Lane. Her paternal grandparents were Bray Hargrove and Mary Hodge(s) Hunnicutt. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Hardy, Hartwell, Augustine Hunnicutt, William Lane, Thomas, Olive and Katherine. She was the second youngest of the eight children.-
