Adalbert de Gand

Adalbert was born in 1004 in Gand Flanders Belgium.¹ Adalbert's father was Arnulf Count of Holland and his mother was Luitgarde of Luxembourg. His paternal grandparents were Dirk II Count of Holland and Hildegard of Flanders; his maternal grandparents were Siegfried Count of Luxembourg and Hedwig von Nordgau. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Dirk III Count of, Siegfried Sicco Of, Adele Countess of and Aleida, countess of. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 28 in 1032.¹
