Jean I was born about 1275. Jean I's father was Guigue VI de Forez (d'Albon) and his mother was Jeanne de Montfort l'Amaury. His paternal grandparents were Renaud I de Forez and Isabelle de Beaujeu; his maternal grandparents were Philippe II De Montfort and Jeanne De Levis. He had a sister named Isabelle. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Louis II, Jeanne, Beatrice, Eleonore, Marguerite and Blanche. He died on July 3rd, 1334.General Notes
