Maud de was born in 1116.  Maud de's father was Robert de Beaumont Earl of Leicester and her mother was Isabel De Crepi De Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger Count De BEAUMONT [Count Beaumont] and Adeliza Countess of Meulan; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Magnus Count Of Vermandois and Adelaide, Countess Of Vermandois. She had seven brothers and eight sisters, named Waleran Iv, Sir Robert, Waleran IV, Robert "Bossu" de Beaumont, Robert II de, Waleran de Beaumont de, Hugh de Beaumont, Aubreye, Adeline, Alice, Amicade, Adeline, Maude, Isabel (Elizabeth) and Agnes. She had eight half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William III De, William de Warenne III, Reginald De, Rainald, Henry De, Ralph De, Ralph, William III, Gundred de, Ada De and Ella.  She died about 1189.

‌Maud de and Simon III Le Chauve De were married in a religious ceremony about 1145 in Normandy,France.  They had a son named Guy Seigneur de Castre de.
