Heinrich V of was born in 1129 in Ravensburg on the Donau,Württemberg.1   Heinrich V of's father was Heinrich of Bavaria and Saxony Duke and his mother was Princess Gertrud zu Supplingenburg Duchess of Austria.  His paternal grandparents were Henry I (Niger) of Bavaria Duke of Bavaria and Ulfhild (Wulfhilde) Saxony; his maternal grandparents were Lothaire Carolingians Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and Richensa of Northeim. He had a brother named Otto I (V).  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother named The Lion.  He died at the age of 66 on August 6th, 1195 in Braunschweig,Germany.  He was buried in Cathedral of St. Blasius,Brunswick,Germany.1 1
