St. Olaf II of was born about 0995 in Of,Ringerike,Buskerud,Norway.  St. Olaf II of's father was Harald "The Greenlander" King of Norway and his mother was Asta Astrid Gudbrandsdatter.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Gundrod of Vestfold and Princess Caecilia of Vestfold; his maternal grandparents were Gudbrand Jarl of Uplands and Gunnhild THORASDOTTIR. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Halfdan, Harald III "Hardrada", Guthorm, Olaf II, Halfdan, Harald III Hardraade King of, Ingirid and Gunnhild.  He died on August 31st, 1030 in ,Stiklestad,,Norway.  He was buried on August 3rd, 1030 in St. Clemens-Kirke,Trondheim,Sor-Trondelag,Norway.
