Lothaire was born in 1075 in <Supplingenburg,Braunschweig,Brunswick,Lower Saxony, Thüringia>.1   Lothaire's father was Luitpold II the Good von Babenberg, Margrave of Austria and his mother was Ida, Countess of Cham.  His paternal grandparents were Ernst the Valiant, Markgraf von Õsterreich and Adelheid of Wettin, Princess of the Ostmark; his maternal grandparents were Rapoto IV, Count of CHAM and Mathilde Countess Of Kastl. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Luitpold III von Babenberg, Margrave of, Gerberge of, Ida of, Adelheid of, Élizabeth of, Jutte of, Eufemie, Princess of and Sofie, Princess of.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 62 on December 4th, 1137.


Lothaire's family with Richensa of Northeim

‌Lothaire and Richensa of were married in a religious ceremony in 1110 in <Supplingenburg,Braunschweig,Brunswick,Lower Saxony, Thüringia>.1   They had a daughter named Gertrud zu.
