Tupton B. Rushing, born 3 Jan 1895, died 1 Dec 1961 was my "Uncle Tup"
and I remember him fairly well considering that he did not live in Elba.
He was the son of Minneola "Aunt Nolie" Rushing and her first husband
Charles R. Talbot.  He was adopted and raised by Francis Marion Rushing.
He married Marie Cady, b. 15 Aug 1895, died 9 Jan 1926.  Aunt Nolie's
other children by Pierre Liebert (who died long before I was born) were
William D. "Willie" Rushing, 1906-1966.  Uncle Willie never married, to
my knowledge.  He was a pianist who lived in Miami.  He came home in 1966
with cancer and lived with Granny and Grandaddy Ham until he died.  A
daughter named Louise also never married.  I believe she and Uncle Willie
were about the same age.  She lived in Elba with her mother until
Minneola died, then with Florrie Wright, a life-long chum and widow,
until she died sometime in the seventies or early eighties.  I was not in
Elba when she died but if you need the dates will be glad to get them for
