Floyd D. was born on March 6th, 1887 in Levita, TX.1 Floyd D.'s father was Augustave Davis Spradley and his mother was Hannah Minerva Maxwell. His paternal grandparents were Bryant Eugene Spradley and Amelia Ann Todd; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Maxwell and Narcissa Keen. He had a brother and three sisters, named Augustus Claude, Alice Pearl, Edna Amelia and Hannah Myrtle. He had four half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Edwin Henry, Fielden Eugene, Ralph Luster, Ernest Clifton, Nora Amelia, Elizabeth Adella, Cordie Mable, Addie Lois, Anna Mae, Earline Geneall, Martha Louise and Thelma Margaret. He was reared on a farm in Coryell Co., and Collin Co., TX. Eventually
left farming and moved to Lubbock, TX where he established a furniture
reupholstrering comapny. He and his children did most of the labor.
When he retired they moved to Goldthwaite, TX.
