Prof. C.E. Evans of Abilene and C.H. P'Pool of Anson came to town to be
with their relative Mrs. Allen Maxwell in her last hours.
Mrs. Allen Maxwell died Sunday morning at her residence. Mrs. Maxwell was
51 years old and has resided in Stamford for one year. She leaves a
sister and two brothers. Her sister lives in Anson and her brother in
Windsor, Mo. Mrs. Maxwell was a member of the First Baptist church here
and has been a member all of her life.

were married December 25th at Lawton, Oklahoma.
M. M. (Marshall) Knox of Anson enters Sheriff’s race. He has lived in an
around Anson and is 25 years of age. I married a Jones County girl, a
daughter of James Maxwell.
Wayman Maxwell, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Maxwell was buried at
Highland cemetery.
