[coosa1.ged] Obituary 1987: Services held for Mrs. Ethel Sears Lee Services for Mrs. Ethel Sears Lee, 90, of the Sulphur Springs community were held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the Missionary Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs with the Revs. Darrell Owens and James Walters officiating. Burial was in King Cemetery at Mt. Enterprise under the direction of Crawford-a-Crim Funeral Home. Mrs. Lee died at 9:35 Wednesday morning May 20 in Southwood Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 26, 1896 in Rusk County of which she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Sulpur Springs. Mrs. Lee was the widow of J. T. (Tommy) Lee. She is survived by two daughters, Mahdeen Craycraft of Mt. Enterprise and Fredia Shumate of Corpus Christi; two sons, Neal Lee of Corpus Christi and Chester Lee of Mt. Enterprise; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, Vince Lee, "Bubba" Lee, Scott Lee, "Butch" Lee, Joe Shumate and Bob Shumate.
Ethel Lea and John Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on November 5th, 1916 in TX.1 They had two sons and two daughters, named Neal, Living, Mahdeen and Fredia.
