It is the death certificate of Mary Rushing White, my grandmother's
grandmother, with the informant being her brother Napolean Bonapart
Rushing, which lists her birthplace as "Tallapoosa, Coosa County".  I
wondered about the site, also, and looked for it in a genealogy libary
while living in NC. I found it on a territorial map before Alabama was a
state.  I copied it and have it and will e-fax it to you when I find it
in my masses of copies of research.  I'll scan the death cert to you.
Malcolm Reed, a descendant of N. B. Rushing, has Baron deKalb's Bible. He
gave me copies, in which Mary's full name is given as "Mary Anna Phoebe"
(but Phoebe is spelled "Feby").  I sent a copy of Serena and Baron to
Roseann Shiver, who has a website. Charmaine Rushing of Walton Co, FL,
had graciously sent me the original, so I could have a copy. She's in her
80's.  I'll get back with you this weekend.  Thanks for writing.  I'm
very interested in what you can find out about "Tallapoosa", Coosa Co.
