Laura Cornelia was born on September 3rd, 1823 in Cooperstown, New York.1 Laura Cornelia's father was George Pomeroy and her mother was Ann Cooper. Her maternal grandparents were William-, Judge Cooper and Elizabeth Fenimore. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William Cooper, William Cooper, George Quartus, Fenimore Cooper, Edgar Cooper, Georgianna Cooper, Hannah Cooper, Elizabeth and Ellen Cooper. She was the youngest of the ten children.-
