Ada Leonora was born on September 8th, 1860 in Pike County, Alabama.1 Ada Leonora's father was Richard E. Park and her mother was Martha Anne Douglas. Her maternal grandparents were Silas Douglas and Mary Harrington. She had three brothers and a sister, named Solomon Joseph, Richard E., Jr., Ney Pickett and Celeste. She was the oldest of the five children. She had four half-brothers named Silas Atlas, Frederick A., John Carson and Charles Avent.
