Justus Lolman was born on May 29th, 1901 in Elmore Co., AL.1 Justus Lolman's father was Berry Wilbert Miller and his mother was Ella Missoura Mitchell. His paternal grandparents were John McBride, Jr. Miller and Martha Ann Logan; his maternal grandparents were George W. Mitchell and Sarah Fannie Brown. He had two brothers named Baby "A" and Baby "B". He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 66 on August 15th, 1967 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co., AL. He went to LaFayette School which was on the east corner of Monroe and
Ripley.
He was employed by serveral companies, including Johnson Tire &
Rubber Co., located on Bibb Street, Montgomery, AL; twenty-eight years as
a mechanic and seven years as a lineman for Alabama Power Company; as a
mechanic for E. B. Chalker Contracting; and as a mechanic for Frosty Morn.
Pop's places of residence included Pelham Street, Montgomery, AL; 212
Heustess Street, Montgomery, AL in 1927; Wares Ferry Road, Montgomery, AL
in 1939; and Woodley Road, Montgomery, AL in1943.
He received a 30 Year Service Pin from Alabama Power Company.
Pop always owned a variety of dogs and horses, and he loved to hunt.
His vehicles included a 1929 Model T Ford, Chevrolets, and
International Trucks.
His best friends included Paul Anderson (Greenville, Pete Ivey,
Harvery Sarber, and B. H. Persons).
According to his daughter Joan, Pop could fix anything.
Pop was a genius when he was working on trucks, cars, or any kind of
machinery. Pop, PaPa Miller, and Bill Miller built Bill and Lillie
Miller's house.
Pop's hair and eyes were brown.
