Her paternal grandparents were Jasper Kirkham McEwen and Mary Ann Canada. She had two brothers and eight sisters, named Robert Albert, Otho A., Minnie, Lula, Ida Frances, Lena, Laura Almeda, Nora Belle, Emma Virginia and Jessie Lee. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 83 on November 23rd, 1956 in Morton, Scott Co., MS. She was buried in Morton Cemetery, Morton, Scott Co., MS.1 1 -
