Oscar Truett was born on November 26th, 1907 in Scott Co., MS.1 Oscar Truett's father was Hance Henry Bennett and his mother was Neva Minerva McEwen. His maternal grandparents were Robert Jasper McEwen and Mary Frances Page. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Biil Edgar, Robert L., Hance Henry, Jr., Cleo, Heloise and Ida Mae.
