John Henry was born on August 2nd, 1870 in Fayette Co., AL.1 John Henry's father was William Lyons Yancy Logan and his mother was Virginia Ann Smith. His paternal grandparents were H. Alexander Logan and Malinda Atchley; his maternal grandparents were Solomon R. Smith and Julia Ann Warren. He had a brother and two sisters, named Jospha, Malinda and May F.. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 40 on September 14th, 1910 in Danville, AR.1 General Notes

My Grandfather was Yancy's son and he John Henry Logan killed a man in
Fayette Co. Al and ran over to Ark. to keep the law from catching him.
The man he killed was his wife's brother Samuel Duncan in 1905,they were
both sceretly dating the same woman. Grandmother took my mother and her
two sisters to Danville Ark. to live with him and later my mom's brother
was born. he died and she buried him there,then moved back to fayette
Co. This was all never talked about, not even my mother ever told us
kids. I got to digging and found out after they were all deceased. Betty
