James M. was born about 1866 in Coosa Co., AL.1 James M.'s father was James Alexander Logan and his mother was Carrie Angelina White. His paternal grandparents were H. Alexander Logan and Martha Ann Smith; his maternal grandparents were Robert Alexander Major White and Elizabeth Ann Blankenship. He had a brother and two sisters, named Adison N. H.
