Accidentally shot himself in the foot while cleaning his pistol. The
doctor tried to remove the bullet but pulled on the tendon instead. He
removed his leg from the knee down to prevent gangrene and as he moved
the leg away from him, the bullet fell out. Baker did not ever come out
the anesthetic and died at home, a 2-room house.
