Robert Edward was born on August 15th, 1919 in Troy, Pike Co., AL.1 Robert Edward's father was Robert Houston Johnston and his mother was Chloe Gardner. His paternal grandparents were Robert Green Johnston and Mary Jane Colley; his maternal grandparents were James Henry Gardner and Sarah Savanah Griffin. He had four brothers and a sister, named William Burton, James Henry, Roy Houston, Living and Margaret Louise. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named James Wilfred, Wilma and Eloise. He died at the age of 44 on July 31st, 1964 in Lake Charles, LA.1 -
