Living Johnston 
Living's father was Robert Houston Johnston and his mother was Chloe Gardner. His paternal grandparents were Robert Green Johnston and Mary Jane Colley; his maternal grandparents were James Henry Gardner and Sarah Savanah Griffin. He had four brothers and a sister, named Robert Edward, William Burton, James Henry, Roy Houston and Margaret Louise. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named James Wilfred, Wilma and Eloise.-
