Walter Francis was born on March 13th, 1915 in Wilsonville, Shelby Co, AL.1 Walter Francis' father was William Jones Jackson and his mother was Ida Lee McEwen. His paternal grandparents were John Ephraim Jackson and Susan Civility (?); his maternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Terrell Houston, Willliam Spear, Karl McEwen, John Edgar, Forrest Hosia, Eunice Nova and Margie Louise. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 67 on July 4th, 1982 in Montgomery Co., AL. He was buried in Peaceful Acres, Covington Co, AL.1 1 -
