John Edgar was born on February 27th, 1906 in Wilsonville, Shelby Co, AL.1 John Edgar's father was William Jones Jackson and his mother was Ida Lee McEwen. His paternal grandparents were John Ephraim Jackson and Susan Civility (?); his maternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Terrell Houston, Willliam Spear, Karl McEwen, Forrest Hosia, Walter Francis, Eunice Nova and Margie Louise. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 23 on May 25th, 1929 in Wilsonville, Shelby Co, AL.1 -
