Caroline Sophia was born about 1856 in Autauga Co., AL.1 Caroline Sophia's father was Bolling II Hall and her mother was Mary Louisa Crenshaw. Her paternal grandparents were Bolling I Hall and Jane Abercrombie; her maternal grandparents were Abner Crenshaw and Charlotte Perry Elmore. She had nine brothers and two sisters, named Bolling III, Crenshaw, James Abercrombie, John Elmore, Thomas Brown, Hines Holt, Joseph Eugene, Franklin Abner, Charles Edward, Mary Louisa and Laura June.
