William Houston was born on June 26th, 1877 in Shelby Co., AL.1 William Houston's father was Asa Amos, Jr. Goodwin and his mother was Georgianna Ann M. Spradley. His paternal grandparents were Asa Amos, Sr. Goodwin and M. Emily Howard; his maternal grandparents were John William Spradley and Nancy Blackman. He had a brother and two sisters, named Asa Edward, Nancy Georgianna and Mary Emily. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Ulysses Fredrick, Horace Oliver, Wylie Malone, Hattie, Audrah L. and Evie. He died at the age of 58 on May 25th, 1936 in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL.1 -
