Alton Gillis 
Alton was born on November 1st, 1911.1 Alton's father was William Murdock Gillis and his mother was Minnie Irene Douglas. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Rabon Douglas and Fletcher Elizabeth McNeil. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Lyndal, Fletcher Rabon, John Ray, Murdock Glen, Billy Douglas, Verna Louise, Ethel Fay and Living.-
