Sophia L. was born in 1865.1 Sophia L.'s father was James C. Garrett and her mother was Evaline Rials. Her paternal grandparents were Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and Mary* Ann Clackler; her maternal grandparents were Archibald* Rials and Elizabeth* Green. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Overstreet William, John Mason, Mary E., Frances L., Nancy Ann, Sallie Susan, Julia E. and Annie E.. She was the youngest of the nine children.-
