James Douglas

James was born on October 28th, 1824.¹   James' father was Silas Douglas and his mother was Mary Harrington.  His paternal grandparents were Abel Douglas and Martha ??; his maternal grandparents were Sion Harrington and Ann Dalrymple. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Abel, John H., Silas William, Nathan, Archibald McLendon, Rabon, Sion Brock, Charles Bryant, Martha Anne, Mary Elizabeth and Sarah M..  He was the third oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 2 on September 23rd, 1827 in Run away horse buggy.¹
