Last Will and Testament of R. M. Dobson

State of Alabama, Coosa County
I, R. M. Dobson, of Coosa County, Alabama, over the age of twenty one
years, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and publish this
my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any
time heretofore made.
First, I will that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid by
Executor as soon after my decease as practical, and that before a
division of my estate is had a suitable monument be erected at my grave,
to be paid out of the assets of my estate, the type and value of said
monument to be determined exclusively by my Executor hereinafter named.
Second, I will and bequeath to my divorced wife Maude Dobson, nee Maude
Phillips, the sum of one dollar, to be paid out of any money that I may
have at the time of my death, it being my last will that she not
participate in my will further than the aforesaid amount and I an doing
this as a double precaution, and regardless of my divorce from her.
Third, I also will and bequeath to Luther Phillips Dobson, who was born
to Maude Dobson, nee Maude Phillips, the sum of one dollar, to be paid
out of any money belonging to me at the time of my death and before any
other division is to be made of my estate to any of the distributors of
my estate other than my divorced wife and also her child hereinafter to
be mentioned in paragraph four, the said Luther Phillips Dobson having
been born to my wife after our separation, but the child is no kin to me,
but I am doing this solely as a precautionary measure.
Fourth, I also will and bequeath to _____ Phillips, who is a child of
Maude Dobson, nee Maude Phillips, if there is such a child the sum of one
dollar, said child having been born to her after our separation and which
child is no kin to me, but it is my will that the sum of one dollar be
paid to this child strictly as a precautionary measure in order that
there can be no question about it participating in my estate further than
as above stated and as was stated with reference to its mother and the
child mentioned in paragraph three.
Fifth, I will and bequeath to Lee Dobson, son of G. M. Dobson and nephew
of mine, for his use during his life and after his death to his bodily
heirs, the following described real estate to wit:
The NW ¼ of the NE ¼ and six acres on the west side of the NE ¼ of the
NE¼ of Section 18, Township 23, Range 19 in Coosa County, Alabama, this
being the place now occupied by me as my homestead; also the SW¼ of the
SW¼ and NW¼ of the SW¼ of Section 25, Township 23, Range 18, Coosa
County, Alabama, and all land north and east of creek in the SE¼ of the
SE¼ of Section 16, Township 23, Range 18, Coosa County, Alabama, being 35
