Joseph Carson Avent 
Joseph Carson was born on November 22nd, 1829.1 Joseph Carson's father was William B. Avent and his mother was Ester Watts Olegg. He was an only child. He died at the age of 74 on April 4th, 1904. He was buried in Pollard, Alabama.1 1 
‌Joseph Carson and Mary Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on March 10th, 1853.2 They had two sons and five daughters, named David Carson, Rabon Cottrell, Anne Elizabeth, Mattie Easter, Mary Watts, Hattie B. and Josephine.
