Edward was born on August 6th, 1922 in AL.1 Edward's father was Charles Thomas Anderton and his mother was Betty Gertha Lee Ledbetter. His paternal grandparents were James P. Anderton and Sarah Ann Davis; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Littleberry Woodville Ledbetter and Mary Elizabeth Kirkland. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Everett, Earn, Joseph Howard, Billy, Ethel N., Lila Dee, Vera Mae, Lula Maude and Living. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas A., Toney M., Zula, Lola B., Bessy and Daisy. He died at the age of 56 on September 7th, 1978 in AL.
