William I was born about 1030.  William I's father was Ct of Nevers & Auxerre Renaud I and his mother was Adela (Alix) Capet Princess Of FRANCE , Cts de Contenance. He had three brothers named Guy, Henry and Robert. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Baudouin VI the Peaceable, Robert I 'le Frison', Robert I of, Baldwin of, Matilda (Maud), Matilda Countess Of, Alix and Elena.  He died on June 20th, 1100.  He was buried in Saint-Etienne, Nevers.
