George Shurts (Shurtz) 
George was born about 1724. George's father was Michael Shurts (Shurtz) and his mother was Maria Elizabetha Stiernen (Steir). His paternal grandparents were Michael Shurts (Shurtz) and Catherina; his maternal grandparents were Jost George Stier and Anna Margit Slaeygel. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Johannes, Johannes, Abraham, Antie, Eve and Margrite. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died about 1758 in Readington Twp, Hunterdon Co. NJ.-
