Joan Plantagenet 
Joan was born in 1315. Joan's father was Henry III Earl of Lancaster & Leicester and her mother was Maud De Chaworth. Her paternal grandparents were Edward I "Longshanks" King of England and Blanche of Artoise; her maternal grandparents were Patrick De Chaworth Lord of Ogmore and Kidwelly and Isabel De Beauchamp. She had a brother and five sisters, named Henry Grosment Plantagenet I Earl of, Eleanor, Blanche, Mary, Isabel and Maud. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 34 in 1349.General Notes
Joan was the fifth daughter of Henry Plantagenet (1281-1345), Earl of Lancaster. Her Father was a grandson of Henry III (1207-1272), his father being 4th. child and 2nd. son of Henry III, and consequently he was a nephew of Edward I and cousin to Edward II. His services to Isabella, queen to Edward I were probably support during the coup in the name of Edward III against his mother and Mortimer in 1320.
