Maud was born in 1283 in Wales. Maud's father was Patrick De Chaworth Lord of Ogmore and Kidwelly and her mother was Isabel De Beauchamp. Her paternal grandparents were Patric De Chaworth and Hawise De Londres; her maternal grandparents were William De Beauchamp IV Earl of Warwick and Maud FitzJohn. She had a brother named Patrick. She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Hugh Le Despencer The Younger Lord and Isabel. She died at the age of 62 in 1345.-
