Henry Grosment Plantagenet I Earl of was born in 1300 in Grosmont Castle, Monmouthshire, England. Henry Grosment Plantagenet I Earl of's father was Henry III Earl of Lancaster & Leicester and his mother was Maud De Chaworth. His paternal grandparents were Edward I "Longshanks" King of England and Blanche of Artoise; his maternal grandparents were Patrick De Chaworth Lord of Ogmore and Kidwelly and Isabel De Beauchamp. He had six sisters named Eleanor, Blanche, Mary, Isabel, Joan and Maud. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died in Leicester Castle.General Notes
Earl of Derby. He was the King's lieutenant for the northern parts of England,
and general of his army against the Scots. He founght in France and was chief
in command at the siege of Calais. He was made the King's lieutenant in Flanders and France and made Earl of Lincoln. Died of the Black Death. Lord of Beaufort and Nogent. Some say died 1394.
