Henry was born in 1281 in Of, Grismond Castle, Monmouthshire, England.  Henry's father was Edmund "Crouchback" Prince Of ENGLAND EARL OF LANCASTER and his mother was Blanche D' ARTOIS QUEEN OF NAVARRE.  His paternal grandparents were Henry III King Of ENGLAND and Eleanor de PROVENCE QUEEN OF ENGLAND; his maternal grandparents were Robert I Count Of ARTOIS and Mahaut (Maud) Princess Of BRABANT. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Mary, Beatrix and Margaret. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thibaut (Teobaldo) Prince Of and Jeanne Princess Of.  He died at the age of 64 on September 22nd, 1345 in Monastry of Cannons, England.  He was buried in Monastry of Cannons, England.

‌Henry and Maud de were married in a religious ceremony in Of, Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales.  They had a son and six daughters, named Henry "of Grosmont", Blanche, Maud "of Lancaster", Isabel, Joan, Mary and Eleanor.
