Eleanor was born in Grismond Castle, Monmouthshire, England.  Eleanor's father was Henry PLANTAGENET EARL OF LANCASTER and her mother was Maud de CHAWORTH.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund "Crouchback" Prince Of ENGLAND EARL OF LANCASTER and Blanche D' ARTOIS QUEEN OF NAVARRE; her maternal grandparents were Patrick De CHAWORTH KNIGHT and Isabel BEAUCHAMP. She had a brother and five sisters, named Henry "of Grosmont", Blanche, Maud "of Lancaster", Isabel, Joan and Mary.  She died on January 11th, 1372 in Arundel, Sussex, England.  She was buried in Lewes, Sussex, England.
