David "The Saint of Scotland" was born about 1080.  David "The Saint of Scotland"'s father was King Malcolm "Ceann'Moir" Canmore III of Scotland and his mother was Queen Margaret "The Exile" "Saint" Atheling of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were King Duncan "The Gracious" ap Crinan de Mormaer I of Scotland and Queen Sybil (Aelflaed) FitzSiward of Scotland. He had two sisters named Matilda (Edith) and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died on May 24th, 1153 in Carlisle, Cumberland (Cumbria), England.  He was buried in Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, Scotland.
