Isabel was born in 1194 in Of, Pembrokeshire, Wales and her baptism took place in April 1206 in St. David's, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Isabel's father was William MARSHALL 4th Earl PEMBROKE and her mother was Isabel de CLARE COUNTESS OF PEMB. Her paternal grandparents were John "the Marshall" FITZGILBERT and Sibyl de SALISBURY; her maternal grandparents were Richard Fitzgilbert de CLARE Earl of Pembroke, Strongbow" and Eva (Aoife) macmurogh kavanagh. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Walter, William, Richard, Gilbert, Anselm, Margaret, Maud, Joan, Sibyl and Eve. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 46 on January 16th, 1240 in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire, England. She was buried in Beaulieu, Southampton, England.-
