Sir Maurice de Berkeley Lord Berkeley 
Sir Maurice de Berkeley was born in April 1281. Sir Maurice de Berkeley's father was Sir Thomas de Berkeley Lord Berkeley and his mother was Joan de Ferrers. His paternal grandparents were Maurice de Berkeley Lord Berkeley and Isabel FitzRichard de Dover; his maternal grandparents were William de Ferrers III Earl of Derby and Margaret de Quincy. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, James, Alice, Isabel and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 45 on May 31st, 1326 in Wallingford Castle, Berkshire, England.General Notes
Maurice de Berkeley, 2nd baron, b. 1281, d. 1326, m. Eve, dau. of Eudo le Zouch. He received summons to parliament from 1308 to 1321, during his father's lifetime. Thomas de Berkeley the Rich was born in 1292 in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. He died at the age of 69 on October 27th, 1361 in Berkeley, Gloucestershire.
Sir Maurice de Berkeley and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony in 1316.

"Earl Gilbert the Red left a son and five daughters. Of his daughters by Alice de Lusignan, the elder, Isabella, was born in 1263. In 1297 she was betrothed to Guy, son and heir of William de Beauchamp, earl of Warwick. Guy de Beachamp succeeded his father as earl in 1298, but the projected marriage, although still pending, never took place. Not until 1216 was Isabella married, at the advanced age of fifty-three, to the Gloucestershire baron Maurice de Berkeley, and she died without issue in 1338.
