Maurice de Berkeley Lord Berkeley 
Maurice de Berkeley was born in 1218. Maurice de Berkeley's father was Thomas "The Observer" FitzHarding de Berkeley and his mother was Joan de Somery. His maternal grandparents were Baron Ralph Of Dudley de Somery and Margaret FitzGilbert Marshall. He had five brothers and a sister, named Richard, Robert, Thomas, William, Henry and Margaret. Maurice de Berkeley m. in 1240, Isabel, dau. of Maurice de Credonia, by his wife, Isabel, sister of William de Valence, Earl of Pembroke, d. 4 April, 1281, and was s. by his 2nd son, the eldest, Maurice, having been killed in a tournament at Kenilworth.
