Henry the Young King was born in Bermondsey.  Henry the Young King's father was Henry II Plantagenet de Anjou King of England and his mother was Eleanor de Aquitaine Dss de Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V Plantagenet [COUNT OF ANJOU] and Empress of England Matilda; his maternal grandparents were William VIII Count of Poitou , X Duke d'Aquitaine and Eleanor de Chatellerault. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Plantagenet, Richard I Coeur de Lion, Geoffrey, Philip, John Lackland Plantagenet, Matilda (Maud), Eleanor and Joan. He had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Morgan, Richard, Hugh of Wells, William Longespee of, Peter, Geoffrey Plantagenet, Matilda, daughter, Agnes Capet, Marie Capet and Alisa Capet.  He died on June 11th, 1183 in Martel.
