Roy Myron's father was John Alfred Jacob and his mother was Betsy Irene Floyd. His paternal grandparents were August Carl Jacob and Elisabeth Hohl. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Ralph Lynn, Arthur Lee, Floyd Alfred, Harold Dee, John Carl, Lawrence Charles, Robert Earl, Opal Ethelyn, Pearl Marguerite and Ruby Elizabeth.-
